Coatbridge CAB has a new Chairperson.

Morag Lavery With Tom Clarke

The Board of Coatbridge Citizens Advice Bureau are all volunteers who live or work within the Coatbridge Community and have the best interests of Coatbridge at heart.  At our Board meeting in August, the current Chairperson (Morag Lavery ) who has served as a Board member for numerous years stepped down as Chairperson after serving for 6 years but will still continue as a board member. The Board were pleased to welcome a new Chairperson, who is well known to everyone in Coatbridge, The Rt Hon Tom Clarke, CBE, PC, KSG (Former Coatbridge MP and Minister). Tom said that he was fully aware of the valuable work done by the Bureau and as he has worked supporting the people of Coatbridge for many years he is obviously delighted  to continue this through his role in Coatbridge Citizens Advice Bureau.  Tom is pictured above with Morag who was presented with a token of gratitude from the Board for her excellent work as Chairperson.

Magda

Magda Small

Magda was a volunteer with Coatbridge CAB for over 3 years; trained as a CAB Adviser resolving enquiries from our clients and was invaluable in being our Polish translator. Magda now has a full time office job working in Glasgow.

She said “I wouldn’t have got the job I got if I hadn’t worked in Coatbridge CAB and gained new skills. The atmosphere and people I worked with were great”

We feel proud to have had such a valuable asset and such a hard worker along side us and we are very grateful for the time, effort and dedication she has put into this company. She will be sorely missed but we are pleased that she has managed to get a job by working with us and we wish Magda all the best in her bright and successful future.
